U.S. Naval Hospital Guam is located in a tropical paradise, 2 hours west of the International Date Line, 15 hours ahead of the East Coast, 18 hours ahead of the West Coast, and 20 hours ahead of Hawaii. Guam is truly where "America's Day Begins." Our command offers a full range of medical, surgical, and operational medicine services. Our staff is comprised of approximately 750 military and civilian personnel. The hospital is a forward deployed shore facility with a critical contingency role to play on the island and throughout the Pacific theater. US Naval Hospital Guam has earned the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval.
The Guam climate is tropical with a constant breeze from the Philippine Sea. Guam is beautiful, and the Chamorro people are warm and friendly. Travel opportunities in this part of the world are boundless with many romantic and intriguing destinations, and it is suggested that personnel ordered to Guam obtain a passport, which would allow one to take advantage of all the opportunities. We have a robust sponsorship program in place to ensure that each incoming member has a single point of contact to help you in your transition.
